Bob, when I saw the thread title the '53 Loewy Coupe was the first car that came to mind. My dad loved that design and turned me on to it when I was very young. Compare it to the GM, Mopar, and Fords at the time and you see that it is many years ahead of its time in styling. Still attractive today.

When they were new, I thought the Challenger was better looking than the Cuda. But neither can hold a candle to the '53 Stude.

I owned a '73 TA in the late '70s and told my dad I thought it was an equally timeless body style compared to the Stude. He didn't care for the TA spats and spoilers which he thought were ugly, but he agreed the early 2nd gen Firebirds were handsome.

As to what I saw on the list, seemed they tried to find cars that had some "significance" beyond style/beauty.

Lists like that are always subjective.

I could find fault with every pick they made. But I wouldn't reject any of them if somebody was giving out gifts.
