Greg I've got a pic of a 1956 Cop car, Pomona, CA. I'll post if I can find it. Last edited by gregneun; 10-08-2012 at 01:35 AM. Reason: copcar |

THESE ARE VERY UNCOMMON IN CANADA AND MOST LIKELY NEVER SEEN SOUTH OF THE BORDER. THIS WAS FACTORY INSTALLED ON A 1968 GRANDE PARISIENNE. I WILL TRY TO GET A PICTURE OF THE WHOLE CAR.

That was the one Firebird concept car Pontiac should have made. I wanted one so bad back when I first saw a picture of it. Would have been a good seller for Pontiac. I believe 2 were made but one was destroyed. There was a photo of the only one left in a private collection posted here on PY... if I remember correctly.

x2 JH - IMO except for that '53 Corvette like engine. Sure it's a OHC...but the advert should say:
"Lookout! Here comes that V-8 Banshee Pontiac, listen to it howl!!!" |

Check out the size of the air filter too! Wonder what the CFM rating is for that one?

I think that breather is simular if not the same used on boats, flame arrestor type?
She has some interesting parts, lots of pre-production and barrowed. Look close and remember the way you see it now is how she was built in "1964". I couldn't find any info on the 1bc cfm and I'm not sure what type of carb is used. That doesn't look anything like the '66 production carb I'm also trying to figure out what the large canister/bowl is inline ahead of carb, Filter? ![]()

Looks like there is a fuel filter way at the rear of the engine (follow the fuel line back, behind the valve cover). K
