The John Edwards Bird -"might"- be the one that Jim Mino has mentioned that he owns and is currently restoring - that was a former racer from an Ohio Dealer.

The cars you and JohnZ. drove could still surface.
Its been a slow process getting guys to share what is still out there.
And we can't reach everyone anyhow.
But its looking better lately, thats for sure !

The ones you guys drove would likely have been coveted cars due to their high option contents and drivetrains once they went to Joe Publics. Good chance of survivals - excluding crashes and northern exposures.

FYI- my RAII auto was delivered to Weidner Pontiac in Mansfield, Ohio and was raced in NHRA's stock class by Pete Weidner. The dealership had a string of Pontiac stock class race cars back in the day, a couple of Super-Duty Catalinas, the RAII Bird, a 69 RAIV Judge among others.

Thanks Jim. At least now i can stop using "maybe - might" about that car. lol
i knew Ohio was a HotSpot back in the day for Pontiacs , but it must have been even more than i had imagined.
Cool info on the Weidner Pontiac involvement.
