Thanks all. The truck has 2-1/2 ton rear springs. I've hauled that much weight in gravel on it and the gearing works well with it too. But as far as the truck's weight? Yeah, it's light for the high-lift and trailer. My other 3/4 ton diesel truck is not rated to tow but about 7k lbs.
In the smart world, I'd replace both trailers with one 'tweener gooseneck version that would allow me to pull a car or the high-lift. The trailer is a monster. It's overkill for my needs. Pulling it empty feels like pulling my steel deck trailer with a Pontiac on it. The price was right, though. |
