Got two of them yesterday and your welcome to one of them. Not exact, due to a small detail, but will work perfectly. Give me a call 402-525-3979 and I'll explain.

SD intake question. I ahve an original SD 74 intake that was taken off a running car. I had an offer to trade for the original SD intake that came on the white car I acquired. the only difference from what the guy told me is the casting has LS2X where mine has LS2.Any opinions? If I remember the intake I have came on a air cond car. My original 74 has LS2 also.Soooo-guys.
Last question I am getting parts together for a stock rebuild of the SD white car's engine.I wa sthinking of using a good '103' crank that I have as the original crank was not with the car. I thought about a new crank($ and foreign) but just for occasional shows and dragging I didn't think I needed a new crank. I was going to have the '103' checked-stroke corrected, polished. Now who do I trust to do the machining? Soooo.I asked for it! Bob |

My understanding is that the LS2 is a 73 Intake and the LS2X is a 74 Intake. I have seen LS2X Intake's with late 1972 Date code's.

My original SD TA was ordered 11-8-73. Arrived 3-15-74 approx. The intake I acquired was on blue car.I do not know the date. The white car was built later. I don't have the date right with me. I also have a modified SD intake(The lower part below the exhaust croossover was chiseled off-NHRA stocker back in 75) The part no. has the last digits stamped.I'll get info monday. Happy Thanksgiving to all. Bob
