Soda blasting,glass beading,chemical stripping are also a great way to go.

X2 IF the person doing the blasting knows what they are doing. If the blaster you find isn't experienced in blasting car parts/panels I wouldn't go that route. I'd strip it manaully with a DA and use phosphoric acid on the rust.

I've been going to the same person for a long time and thats a good point. They do need to know what they are doing.
