Default This transmission has a "stupid" tax

I have a Muncie 4 speed transmission. Fine spline input shaft, M20 wide ratio. Worked when pulled from a vette years ago. This transmission was used in all the Chevy, Buick, Olds and Pontiac muscle cars and performance models in the late 60s and 1970s. Asking $500 or best offer. Will consider interesting trades. Call 616-581-6215.

REDUCED! Some moron came to my house today to look at it. He acted like he was some transmission expert, so I let him take off the side cover to inspect it. Nothing was broken, but he tried to use normal wear (so surprising on a 40 year old transmission!) as an excuse to low ball me. Turns out that he was just a wanna be transmission expert, because he couldn't get it back together right. It wouldn't even shift after he was done with it. I ended up putting it back together myself after he left, and it seems to work Ok, but I'm no expert either, so no guarantees. Either way, the price just dropped to $400.

Dan, if you're reading this, I am talking about you, and the price to you is still $550. You'll have to pay 'stupid' tax.

Currently looking for a Mopar A833 4 speed transmission and big block bellhousing.

Spray painting the entire car, including all brightwork, with a rattle can is surely worth a premium. That kind of quality work just doesn't come cheap!
