Thanks, this car was in the Elkin area. The car was orignailly a Gastonia car, also a GM zone rep car (according to what I was told by a PY member,from the PHS). It had no engine ,trans, and a broken rear end when I got it. I didn't even know about these cars in till 2009. Thanks to my brother for asking me what the F#!$ is a GT-37 ???? The badges look factory he said. I asked him buckets or bench ? He said bench, I told him I was not interested. My son did some research and found out what it was and, we had to have it.Towed it back to MI, have been doing some work on it when time and money are present. This is our first real Pontiac, we love driving this P.O.S. as much as we can !!! Maybe one day we will get it restored. It is also featured on PYPES website in the install section.

One of the pics I posted in the thread about 70-72 cars in salvage yards is a blue '71 GT-37 with sword stripes. That's not one of the several from the yard near Henderson though...still trying to find those pics...

The engine has a Melling hydraulic cam that has the same specs at the Summit 2801 cam. Melling lifters and made in the USA. Woke up this 400 pretty good too !
