The GM Heritage Center will sell invoices for Chevrolets 1977 and newer, but that doesn't help your friend: http://www.gmmediaarchive.com/

Mike - the only other hope is if the car was built in Oshawa. GM of Canada has build information for those vehicles either built in Canada or destined for Canadian usage.

That's how I got the build information for my Chevelle.
