Your project pretty much mirrors what I'm doing with mine. I am going for a car that has a stock appearing body, interior, and under the hood but with bigger wheels and better brakes and suspension. My original engine is long gone, but mine was a 400 HO, 4 speed, A/C car, and I'm going back with a stout 455 and eventually a 5 speed that will appear stock.

I'm looking forward to watching your car come together!

Yeah it sounds like were on about the same page. I'm keeping an eye on your build on the pro-touring board. My handle there is Novaguy73.

Well i got my Legendary seats back. The guy that did them misunderstood me when i delivered the stuff and he kind of ****ed up but that's a whole other story. They turned out ok after he corrected them. I also fabbed up some 1/8" steel straps to move the seats back 3". 3" was a bit too much but i can adjust forward now. I still need to paint those. Anyhow the seats have a couple issues but nothing on legendary's part, overall i would say i'm happy. Here's a couple interior shots...

Man, those Legendary door panels look crisp, and it looks like they use a thicker batting under the vinyl than the PUI panels the PO put in my car. Do the seats still feel good and stable with the straps?

Yeah the legendary door panels are an 11/10. I recommend them to anyone. The seats feel good. They still don't feel like a new car or anything, they're definitely a stock spring seat feel. After putting about 50 or so miles on the car the last 2 days I would say they will break in some. It might take time. Ill let you know at the end of the summer if they start to take shape a bit. I would say overall they're maybe an upgrade to stock seating with a bit of side bolster that will help a bit in the corners. I intend to auto X this occasionally in the next few years so a bit of bolster is nice. They're a world better than my old worn out 45 year old stockers thought

X2 I saw the picture of those door panel and said "wow, those sure look crisp"! Then I read the above post and he thought the same thing. The interior looks real nice to me.

PS. Enjoy taking your daughter for rides and to events. My daughter still talks about going for rides in my 40 Ford and that was over 40 years ago.

Will do. She loves going for rides, and I love taking her. Yesterday I let her sit on my lap, reach through the steering wheel, turn the key with my help, start the car and ride around the driveway holding the steering wheel. She liked that too.
