It's going to depend on CID, compression ratio, and cam choice. If you provide me with the CID and compression ratio, I can specify a power piston spring that will work for what you are doing.....Cliff

But just think of all the added xtra cost of buying a newly-rebuilt carb and having to send it out to be made right. Cliff is worth the wait

Every time I type in 7029268 in ebay collector car parts one comes up. Unless your GP is a 4 speed, thats the right one for your car. They vary in price. There's a lot of them out there; they went on every standard engine 4 bbl automatic Pontiac in 69 with a 350, 400 or 428.

The quality control of the "remanufactured" carburetors has went from "pathetic" to "not worth two squirts of duck poop" in recent years. They have so many problems I could write a book on them in this response.
Instead, I'll just say that we don't want any sent here, and are no longer working on them for any reason. In the amount of time I spend trying to get them up to par, I could have built at least two original "virgin" units from the ground up and ended up with perfect results right off the bench. The "reman's" are so "hacked" up these days, and the castings are soft from the acid bath they get, we're just "polishing turds" trying to get them up to par for the customer. I would also recommend for anyone reading this to avoid the electric choke Marine units being offered on Ebay. They are nicely painted black mid to late 70's Caddillac cores that are WAY, WAY off the mark for any Marine application. Had a few end up here in the last year or so, and don't want to see any more of them either. A guy is better off to get his own core, some good parts, and go after the deal himself, than to throw good hard earned money at some generic/commercially remanufactured POS......IMHO......Cliff

That application should make at least 11-12" vacuum at idle speed. I'd use the light blue spring that we have in our PP spring kit.....Cliff

I have my Marine Tex on my plugs for 3 yrs. now, showing no signs of coming off?? Maybe your using something differant?? I to check fuel wells with 30 psi of air and soapy water & never seen any marine tex leak as of yet( knock on wood) Great stuff for sure!!
