An 041 cam in a 455 is not that big of a deal. A friend has one in his SD and it rips. I had one in an automatic T/A with a 400, auto trans, and 3.73 gears. It was a tire burning demon. I wouldn't be afraid of an 041 cam. There may be more modern cams that would work better but I wouldn't hesitate.
