Beautiful car. Wasn't the ram air set up (air cleaner and scoop cut outs) a mandatory option on the 455HO or was that a 1972-only deal?

Mandatory with the 455HO on W66 F & all A body in 72, optional on A & W66 F body in 71.

I bet that threw a few people off who order the 455 HO Formula with that hood and GTOs too!
Nice car and true to the PHS! Sweet restoration job!!

Bob, start with the wife, then move on to the guns - let the dog go last.

They wouldn't deal, so for sale to the first buyer with $89,900 cash: One good woman. A little hard to get started on cold mornings. Comes with about 48 sets of tires, most very low mileage. Condition 2, could use a good buff job. All original body panels. Oversized twins hood bulges have been added to improve functionality. To sweeten the deal, I'll include all jewelry and the Armalite. I know that the discriminating buyer will want to know exactly what they are getting, so below is a picture of the gun.

Gorgeous car! That would be a record for a Formula HO if it sells for anywhere near that lofty BIN

The car is stunning. However, is it too much to require them to paint the dummy hood scoop screens black. Really $90 grand LOL.

Like I said the car is stunning. Congratulations to you on your work. I do not doubt that a professional restoration of the quality displayed can run up to the BIN asking price. My comment on the BIN price, still remains as I think it is rare that we recover the cost of restoration on our Pontiac's, even a 1 of 166 manual transmission 71 Formula 455's.

LOL. I had over $100K into the 72 T/A restoration, even with all the work I did myself.
I'm still trying to find a good (local) painter for my black 72 Formula. Tom, are you willing to relocate? :-) |

I hope the car sells for that kind of Money. In my biased opinion there's no way a HO Formula should be worth more than an SD Formula. There were more HO's built in 1 year than the total production of the 2 years of the SD's.
