That FOM cameraman is lucky to be alive.

That tire spun off of Webbers RED BULL right rear as Webber accelerated throttle mashed against the pit chip, it bounced after the Lotus Pit crew scrambled to get away from it.

The tire seemingly gained speed as it bounced and appeared it struck the FOM cameraman directly in the back of his head while he was standing with his back to the Webber pit box. Amazing that he only sustained broken collarbone and ribs. I'd suspect he should be held under observation for concussion, brain hemorrhage, and spinal damage...can't imagine what his headache must feel like now. Was good at the time to see him with his head raised right after he was flattened onto the pit road surface.

Tiregate was this weeks buzz word again by the commentators. FIA & F1 asked for and received less durable tires from Pirelli "to make the race more exciting and competitive". I'd say the FIA & F1 has gotten what they asked for from Pirelli.

Team Lotus w Kimi and Grosejean are really building momentum, respect and points...as the season nears the mid-point (next race).

Massa out in lap 7 may have been mechanical based on Alonso's odd 4th place end of race pulling his Ferrari over immediately after crossing the finish line at turn one outboard side...the same spot Massa ended his race. Broken 1/2 shafts, gearbox, or?

Nico and Hamilton Mercs seem to have the ability to pole, perform well in short segments...but fall off the pace quickly during the race longer distances.

KERS problems again for part of the final race stint for Vettel really could have prevented him from winning in his German homeland. But, you've got to give the cred he deserves. He is a great driver, just now - As mentioned by Machette or Hobbs post race - it was good to see Vettel take a moment to observe and acknowledge all of the fans, crew, everyone present to witness his 1st homeland win in Germany. And understanding his place in F1 history.

Yes, that cameraman in the pits is lucky to be alive after getting struck by Webber's tire. They showed it live, but in every replay, they cut the video short just as the tire was about to strike the cameraman. They were waiting for word on the guys condition, and I really thought perhaps it was a serious injury because they wouldn't replay it.

Vettel understands his place in F1 history. For a 25-year old, he's very mature. As Matchett and Hobbs said, Seb is an F1 historian, a huge F1 fan, and he knows all the drivers and records set throughout F1 history. That's pretty cool. He's not just a guy out there for the glory and the money, he's a true fan of F1. He's starting to realize he's actually being spoken about in the same sentence as Michael Schumacher, Juan Fangio, Ayrton Senna, and Alain Prost.

Great win for Vettel in front of his hometown fans, and a great run for Team Lotus.

I'd like to see Hamilton and Rosberg get a few good runs in, along with Alonso, but I'm afraid Ferrari may be looking at 2014 now. I think the Mercedes team is hot and cold as far as their setups go, but much better than last year. We know they have a couple great drivers, they just need some luck, and maybe better tire strategy.

Kimi is very consistent, and I think he'll win at least one more race this year.

Great race! Now it's a long summer break before the next event.

I think Seb has this thing wrapped up, but stranger things have happened. Alonso had a similar points lead last year when he suddenly had a string of bad luck. Vettel could have a few DNF's (it's happened before), but the Red Bull team, and especially Vettel, rarely ever make a mistake, other than a mechanical failure.

Seb seemed irritated that he couldn't pass Kimi late in the race, but it was just a heat of the moment thing. It WAS for 2nd place, and Kimi wasn't exactly going to let Vettel pass just because Vettel was faster! Kimi needs every point he can get. They were laughing and joking with each other while on the podium. Maybe Seb was making a comment about what would happen if Kimi was his teammate next year, and how Kimi would react to team orders.....

Great run for Lewis Hamilton. He seemed relieved he finally won a race for Mercedes, and with his long break coming up, he'll sleep better at night.
