That's what was the problem,the drag link I have has the knuckles on both sides and the one listed that I got has no knuckles at all. I'm going to buy all the steering parts again that are listed for the 67 and try it.

Ecklers(sp) Firebird parts sells a new drag link that doesn't have the knuckles for around $65. Check ebay also. I just bought one last year. You can easily get all the tie rods and sleeves from an O'reilly's or Autozone for around $10-$12 each, they will be Moog parts, and you won't be paying a premium for them from someone else. The knuckle should be on the pitman arm and idler arms.
