Think I am going with a double rail chrome moly engine stand with roller bushings in lieu of roller bearings on the wheels and proprietary MSD stand management system.

For iron head engines i prefere the old school Blue stand with 4 steel wheel's. It a monster to get out of the hole and will crush to dust what ever gets under the wheel's.

I probably should go ahead and have my orange stand dynoed first so I have good baseline to work from. I think I'll just put some new 572 stickers on the valve covers in the mean time. That should make it really fast.

If John Marcella ONLY did business with official PY members (there are 32,464 of them) and you say that he might be a .1% benefit to the PY Members, doing some Calculator Racing, I get that John M. could have helped or worked on 3,246 members cylinder heads. (for GG's benefit, you take 32,464 and divide by 1000 and you get 3,246, doh!

When you whipped out that .1% benefit for Pontiac Members, (this is only the PY Board members and not a lot of other customers John M has) I bet you never thought it would be that high. So again GG you shot from the hip, without a clue of what then number would be by YOUR ESTIMATE.

In reality I doubt if John M has ported anywhere near that many cylinder heads for the PY people but just goes to show that you run your mouth without thinking a lot. Carry on Joe Bubba.

Roller bushings are last year's technology. I've got a set of ceramic ball bearings on the way for mine! LOL

Is that the Y frame or H frame version? The Y frame has 5 wheels and is a bad azz MF'r especially with the optional transmission mount(rare option... if you have one keep it gaurded). Dont use Ford Blue to touch it up though it will bog it down. However any shade of Pontiac blue is worth quite a bit. So if the rules allow it, early SD blue or the lighter metallic blue is best on these. They dont make a urethane wheel that can stand up to what these stands wheels can do. (OK if just entering the show class I guess)

I bought 32 of the things for $1.82 each from a caster place going out of business.

Need a cherry picker to move the things around.

These baby's 60 foot like a Pro Stock (.94 range) but max rpm is kind of low (3 revolutions across a 20 foot basement!

I had to take both stock boys to the hospital for hernia repairs when the each tried to pick one of the suckers up to put it in the M-60 tank to get them babies home. Burned 84 gallons of diesel every trip to get two of the bad boys home. 16 trips! Glad I bought those casters cheap!
