I think Kimi laughed at Seb, defusing a potential "bad podium moment" - racing is racing.

Yes - the break from racing is too long IMO...almost have to start all over again at the next race to get the rhythm back

I think Seb has this thing wrapped up, but stranger things have happened. Alonso had a similar points lead last year when he suddenly had a string of bad luck. Vettel could have a few DNF's (it's happened before), but the Red Bull team, and especially Vettel, rarely ever make a mistake, other than a mechanical failure.

You know that old saying - It isn't over till the fat lady sings. Alonso...and IIRC, didn't Masa miss a previous championship by a single point at the end of the season?

Seb seemed irritated that he couldn't pass Kimi late in the race, but it was just a heat of the moment thing. It WAS for 2nd place, and Kimi wasn't exactly going to let Vettel pass just because Vettel was faster! Kimi needs every point he can get. They were laughing and joking with each other while on the podium. Maybe Seb was making a comment about what would happen if Kimi was his teammate next year, and how Kimi would react to team orders.....

Agree - Seb does & will go for any opportunity to pass others...and he should expect the same from competitors.

Team orders - if it happens next season - are going to be pretty sticky issues!

Great run for Lewis Hamilton. He seemed relieved he finally won a race for Mercedes, and with his long break coming up, he'll sleep better at night.

Yeah, but not that deep of a sleep I bet.

I don't think Seb was actually angry at Kimi for that late race incident. I think he was laughing it off, as was Kimi. Seb was mad at the moment it happened, but these guys are in a complete mind lock when they're driving, and when they work and work to catch someone, then get run wide (whether it was their fault or the fault of the other driver), and have to do it again, they vent their anger on the radio. Just an adrenaline thing.

I think that's part of being a great driver, you take every position seriously, you get angry at every position you lose, you fight and scrap for every inch of pavement. I think that's the instinct and focus some of the backmarker drivers (a.k.a. pikers, or in NASCAR terms, danic-ers) don't have.

I think Mark Webber was a little ticked at the move Hamilton did when he ran Webber off the track while passing him, causing Webber to run into the clagg (I love that word, thank you David Hobbs).

BTW, looks like Vettel got a sporting new haircut, huh? He lost that 1970's shaggy look.

My wife still thinks he looks like the guy from Coldplay.

I watched the "Top Gear" episode online, where Mark Webber takes his turn around the Top Gear track. Interesting (and funny) interview he does with Jeremy Clarkson!

Missed those...will look for replays.

Did find this gossip while using a search engine, this popped up: regarding Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis "Kissing & Making up" reportedly after a month break by Nicole...who has dated Lewis for the past 5 years. http://wonderwall.msn.com/tv/the-sho...y?ocid=answw11

And

Wondered why Lewy seemed so sad while on the grid interviews in the past few weeks of racing. Perhaps this was the reason?
