actually a question here, I've got an original 71 Lemans from Grandma and another barn find from the 70's both had the trunk weather strip seam about three inches right of the center dip. I see alot of resto's and people always seem to put the joint at that center dip. Factory thing or just resto mistakes that have become the new rule? |

Have yet to run across the seam of an original installed '69 or '70-72 trunk weatherstrip centered. Off several inches from center is the norm.
