Directv is a sat. dish set up just like Dishtv.
Each tv needs a seperate converter box to operate.

Nope, not anymore. Dish TV DVR reciever I have uses one unit for two TV's in the house & one in the shop (multiple with bdrm). The two sets in the house can be run seperately in dual mode or on single mode (so you can pause in den & resume in bdrm or shop or vice versa). $68 @ month with all Encore channels in package.

Had Direct TV for 12 years and told to shelve it. Glad I did.

OG...............I should of mentioned that my Directv needed
seperate boxes to operate (may be different with newer installs
and equip. tho).

My Dish set up has one box that operates 2 different tvs.
