I paid $35 bucks for it, I think. Perfect documents I did not expect, but what I got was not even readable/usable in any way, shape or form, He even agreed. The web site did not have any warnings or notices relating to poor quality docs due to age, limited sources or such. It becomes an issue of Honesty! And, if Passion for the Hobby was one of the reasons to offered it, then He should stand behind his service 100%, and not act like a total greedy jerk instead.

LOL, You sure assume a lot. I authenticated the car before buying it, not hard to do, it's a Pontiac. I decided to get the PHS a few months later, just to have in case I sold it and someone asked for it. And anybody that would have received what I did, would have been upset and dissapointed whether it was for a simple Lemans or a RA IV; SD455 or Judge. The price did not matter, cause as I said The docs. were unreadable and totally worthless. What really bothered me was the way he acted, Unprofessional and Rude. So much for standing behind his service and passion for the Hobby.

I've been following this thread for several days. I haven't used PHS since around 2002. I was very pleased with the documentation I received then. But, my car is a Pontiac-built car so I know the info is accurate. I expected the price would go up over the years but if you've got a Pontiac-built car the documentation is worth every penny. Almost every GTO I see for sale proudly displays 'PHS documented'.

The idea of counterfeiting these documents never occurred to me and I hope it doesn't start showing up. I paid extra for the window invoice but it's a nice addition.

At $65 it's a bargain but I agree PHS should inform customers that Fremont & KC cars have questionable documentation.

Like I said, I got it in case someone asked for it. I don't need phs to prove or authenticate any Pontiac that I've owned. it was the first time I got it, and the last. Whether you or anybody here disagrees with my opinion of the service and the way Jim handled our issue is Irrelevant, I don't care. Am not looking for simpathy or support. I was just telling my side of the story. Enough said!

Ron - those are some cool documents right there.

The '64 document more closely resembles the build sheet than does the (invoice) punch card that you get with the '65 information, so the information is more intuitive.

However, I would suggest that you obscure the key codes and the VIN before posting. That information is probably a little more "personal" than what you want out on the internet.
