Get a better pic Brian, it looks to be off center. I have owned many original cars with original weatherstrip and have never seen one directly in the center, not to argue with the body manual but i have seen them close. and none exactly the same, but not on center and HOBI, not arguing with you but there was no indentation there in 68-69, that started in 70, and if you read the manual it seems there describing how to replace it not initial install. I'm not saying i know it all or am 100% correct but just going by what ive seen on original cars for 30 years. Besides they were glued together at the butt joint so that wouldnt let them drain anyhow. Just my .02
