One of the better features of our Pontiacs has been being able to run plug wires over our covers or next to them without much worry about frying them. The BB mopar SBC and even Ford and BBC are not quite as wire friendly .

Placing turbos or piping in the vicinity of spark wires isnt wire friendly.

But coil per cylinder with covers like this might just allow closer "over the covers" placement of turbos or piping that would otherwise be too risky without them.

And the covers look good!

Fishin' I hear you on booster clearance my old 68 'bird and big booster were not friendly for taller than stock covers... I went to manual brakes like my wifes 69 bird... they arent that much more effort and no difference in stopping power. I'm gettin close to mock up on my 90 'bird the booster is smaller than my 68 was and seems further outboard... It might not be an issue for taller covers. The HVAC might be another story but seein mine is crunched I can lose it for somethin like the vintage air hot rod stuff. (or fab somethin else)

I like your M/T VC coil cover idea...plenty of mount surface for coils and covers... Have a set of Holley covers polished n powder coated... but not real fond of free advertisin for Holley... Coils can hide the ad and maybe some early M/t's over the coils?

I have a smaller booster on the way. My original plan was to cut up the old M/T covers as they won't seal due to some neglect by the previous owner. I wanted to mount the coils in the top part of the "covers" to make them easy to remove. That way the good holley covers could be sold again at a later date.

This makes for clean wiring of the coils and I plan to use the factory grey connector. Again, ease of removal.

But it will have to wait for version 15.0 of the oil pump drive/ cam position sensor first.

I like this. I seen something similar a while back for big block chevies. I thought about cutting an old set of M/T valve covers down to act as coil covers and mounts to fit over my Holley covers. Now I think I may have to revisit the idea!

I guess I better plan on hydroboost for some clearance.
