Recently, I learned of the passing of "Wild Bill" Alexander. Am happy to have had the pleasure to meet him and get to know him a bit.
Here he is at what has to be one of his finest moments in his driving career when he drove the Pontiac powered AA/Fueler Earnie's Camera "Shutterbug" in 1962 to a win over the Greer/Black/Prudhomme AA/Fueler at Lion's Drag Strip in Wilmington, Ca.

This shot shows Bill checking the heads.

The next 2 are not pre 1990 vintage ( what this thread is intended for ) but, does tie into the above pics-

Here is Bill with the newly recreated Pontiac Shutterbug around 2004 at Bakersfield.

And here is Bill sitting in my then new Pontiac powered AA/Fuel Dragster in 2003.
Not the best pic but, the only one I have with him sitting in my car.

RIP Bill and thanks for your contribution to Pontiac performance.

Somebody sent me a bunch of these photos a few years ago. Forgot I had them until recently and decided this is a good place to post them up. American car transporter pics from the fifties. Not sure if there is any Ponchos in there though...

I heard someone say that it had burned, but someone else said that it wasn't true and they knew where it was but wouldn't say where. I would love to have it.
