There are some amazing garages in this thread (and cars too). I only hope to have mine looking as good someday.
I recently bought an old farmhouse on five acres back in May of this year. The main reason I bought the property was the 40X80X10’ farm building for my toys/parts/future projects. It’s divided into a 2-car garage and what once was a wood shop behind it. On top of the garage/woodshop there is about 1000 sq. ft. of storage area. The open portion on the building still has a gravel floor, but as soon as my old house sells I’ll get that taken care of. My plans are to make the old wood shop into a hang-out with a pool table, fridge and maybe a card table for when the friends stop over for a cold one. Once the concrete goes in the open portion, then a lift can be installed. Alright…enough talk… Outside view: ![]() View standing on the loft above the garage/shop ![]() Here’s a quick rendering I threw together to help visualize the layout: -Roof & Loft floor ![]() Tony

I want a big garage too, mine is only 28 X 32 with an 8 foot ceiling. I do have a TV stereo & a fridge in it with a little seating area, but when I built it I thought it was big enough for what I needed at the time, but as soon as I got all the tools & stuff in i I almost ran out of room for the cars..............

Got a lot done this weekend! 5-1/2" of foam around the perimeter, electric service mounted, two layers of vapor barrier tarps, gravel leveled & compacted. Leftovers from the stone wall were pushed off the back slope and the wall was backfilled & wood chips spread. Got the utility trench back filled/covered and the pad for the compressor shed on the back leveled.
The rental toy/tool.....vapor barrier.....filled & compacted.....done. Today I moved out the Judge to take the GT-37 to my daughter's Field Hockey game so I took the opportunity to snap a pic.

Had a nice 3 car storage garage, and when nest was empty it was time do more and get a refill.
So, what better project than to reroof garage with a taller wall inside. It was a project that I wanted to do at some point when I first started collecting these roundport puppies. ![]() ![]() Stack them up on top of a 22x33 garage ![]() Now I have my drivers below the ones that see little action...
