Searched for an hour for pictures.........nada!!!!

There is one of me running at Bristol & one of the car in my front yard w/tow bar hanging on. Where they are remains a mystery........

Here is only one I found, I was towing w/a 405 HP '61 w/Jet-a-way. Only other car I had. Back then if you had a tow car, you were top shelf!!!! Drove the '61 to work when it was my day in the car pool, 3 other guys, 60miles one way.

I have a cloudy 8x10 of this car just after I got home with it, but picture needs 'computer' enhancement to be worth looking at.

Found some other photos which may be of interest too........blue & white car are the current ones in the stable, white on scheuled for restoration, blue one still being raced, be a really biggy job to restore it. Tempest front end is aluminum w/light wt steel bumper. Sold it inot Fl during a snow storm!!!!! Yellow '62 was a 4spd/2barrel work car. Intake manifold group should excite restores of such.....

Starting line photo is at Farmington, NC, Bill Blairs race & show event....smacks of 1962...... Danny Gouveia on board the 409 car. Floyd Garrets '62 bubble top car was there at later date.

I love the pic with the intakes. Did u ever race with the "128" 4bbl intake? The dual quad intakes with the carbs on them are those "859" or bathtub intakes?

The picture Pontiac Larry posted of the Davisson and Reardon car looks like is says something about Arlan Vanke on the rear fender. Don't know where Davisson and Reardon were from but I thought Vanke was out of Akron Ohio. And by the date presented for the picture I thought Arlan had switched to Mopar.

First question..... The intakes pictured are '859s. One has the 5" top AFB's, no longer remember their ##s. Guy I got that from had one of the aluminum front end Tempests & told the story that the bigger carbs were added later. Have 2 of the '128s, one factory,........other is a Randy Williams "improved" version.......seems a much better design & is currently on the engine in the blue '62 sedan pictured. Second comment.....best I recall, Davisson was not far from Akron. I once called Arlen Vanke & asked if he had any idea where any of the Pontiac stuff he had might be & he said something to the effect of "......why would you want to fool with that junk???????....."

You are correct in regard to the time frames, Davisson didnt get the blk/gold car until about 1970-3....??? I have no idea whether Vanke was involved at that time.

Found the picture of the 1966 Springnationals I ran the blk/gold car in, this was a first round win for me. The fast car was Wally Booth in a '66 Chevelle, he went 12.30 or something close to that, fastest I got was 12.41. He lost a transmission during class & was out......... 'Kicks' blue/white '66 Chevy won all the marbles in B/S.

PJ, feel free to post up any of your 62 or 63 SD car photos and any other info you have on these cars! i'm sure there's a bunch of us who would like to hear the stories! BTW the Tyree car was supposed to have aluminum doors at 1 time, any of the 62 SD cars you've had, have them? or have you seen any others? (besides Royal Sedan) surely there were more than 2 pairs made? unless they were prototype pieces?

I was there when Bill Turner bought the Tyree car!The doors were never changed on the car and they were not alu!Tom

I knew Fred Davisson back in 67-68-70 time frame. He was from Tallmage Ohio-near Akron. He had the black car (I thought it was in the garage the first time I went there-spring 68 maybe)and a mist green 62 SD car(that could have been 69-70)-could that have been Tyree's car repainted?. The green car had no title and he told me the guy was in jail. He tried to sell me the green car-no money.I also remember Nick Codrea was the other partner at one time.He also had apartner previous to Nick.He sold me my4spd 63 GP with alum. rear bumper-don't believe it was original.The car had no powerstr brakes etc.
