I sat down about halfway through Sunday's race and started to watch. Then I had a better idea. I took a nap. I did see that the TV coverage was VERY careful not to show the grandstands. When they did there were an amazing number of empty seats to be seen, beyond those that were hidden under banners.

Have you noticed that a lot of stadiums use red, blue and yellow seats randomly scattered all over the place so that empty seats aren't quite as obvious?
