Thanks for posting that letter. My dad was a pretty strict disciplinarian who instilled in me an appreciation for clear communications. I still keep a Harbrace College Handbook and a Webster's II New Riverside University Dictionary on my credenza in my office. I find myself using them both very often. BJ

Given the clear, professional, COLOR photo, makes you wonder who, what ,when & where? original was taken.
Nice one Mike. thanks - as always - for sharing! |

That would've necessitated some sort of award or trophy, don't you think?
Kudos to Steve for starting this great thread.

My guess is that it's from a color slide taken by one of the salesmen. Those slides made for some beautiful photos. Kind of like the old Technicolor movies from those days.

Here's a nice clear pic of the Chicago Museum of Science and Industry, before they turned that parking lot these people are walking across into a pond, and went to underground parking. The building itself still looks like this today.

And hammocks.

I fondly remember playing in both. Gainesville Florida is not a bad pace to be any time of year.

Great pic! What many people didn't realize was that James Garner did his own driving in that series, as well as driving in one of the all time classic racing movies "Grand Prix". Garner also drove in the Baja series (off road) in a 1970 Oldsmobile 442.
In later years, he was a spokesperson for Oldsmobile. He appeared at the Oldsmobile 100th Celebration in Lansing back in 1997, and seemed to really enjoy being a car guy. Some more pics: Garner's 70 442, his 68 Corvettes in a showroom, and appearing with the 1979 Trans Am Kammback.
