Earlier this season at Martinsville, the touring princess scored her best finish of the season on a non-restrictor plate track.

Trying to improve on her earlier success here, Stewart Haas Racing brought back the same car that she did so well in last spring. Well, just like in Kansas where she wrecked in turn 1 of the race, she hit the turn 1 wall during practice today....



Appears to be very similar damage to what occurred at KC.



So, she goes to her backup car for qualifying - and had the 3rd slowest time.

Barring several early cautions - I expect her to be off the lead lap within the first 35 laps...
