I was ready to order a pair until I noticed they cost $1,000 in 1963!

Thanks for starting this thread, Steve!
I think I posted this a LONG time ago, perhaps in this thread, but if not, I thought it was appropriate to put it here. ![]()

Ok, so I admit that I did not go through all 100 pages to see if these have already been posted...

Fascinating photo. Those look like air ship mooring masts off to the right of that battleship. Anyone know?

Interesting;
I found this color shot of that '65 and always wondered what the story was. GM/Pontiac promo car of sorts ?

After a few bong hits, Fritz came up with an even better way of monitoring the sound transmissions from the Aliens.

An original pic of a 1968 GTO on the showroom floor. You can just make out the window sticker on the opposite side of the car.

There's a lot to see in this picture of a speed shop. I'm guessing this pic is from the late 1970's, based on the Rocket Racing Wheels and the script used for the Holley Carb banner.
My favorite part? The "Keep On Truckin..." and "Let's Boogie" floor mats. ![]()

Awesome! Reminds me of what I'd see walking into a few of my local speed shops in NJ all those years ago

BTW, My first '68 still had those same hubcaps and whitewall tires when I bought it in '82.
