An original pic of a 1968 GTO on the showroom floor. You can just make out the window sticker on the opposite side of the car.

There's a lot to see in this picture of a speed shop. I'm guessing this pic is from the late 1970's, based on the Rocket Racing Wheels and the script used for the Holley Carb banner.
My favorite part? The "Keep On Truckin..." and "Let's Boogie" floor mats. ![]()

Awesome! Reminds me of what I'd see walking into a few of my local speed shops in NJ all those years ago

I would consider the '66-67 Sprint Side body stripes an early use of decals.
Below are some pre-production design pictures showing different layouts on a '67.

BTW, My first '68 still had those same hubcaps and whitewall tires when I bought it in '82.

First thing I noticed. I really like the decal up-high like that.
I'm sure these questions can't be answered, but: Was this an early car? From which plant? |

The car wash guys were pretty tense but Dad was pleased because he was going to peel them off anyways. K

I think the 1968 GTO may have been one of the first GM cars to use them. Strange, but they did away with them for 1969, but stickers returned in full force for 1970, being used on the sides of the car and on the trunk lid of the 1970 GTO.
