At the risk of insulting some members on here, by looking at that paint job where did you buy that car from, Georgia woods or the mountains of NW Carolina?

lol Stan, it took me a minute to understand what you were saying. I had posted the old paint job. Actually I bought it in Conn. from a Linda Acevedo. Don't know if the car always lived in the salt belt though.

I've got the headlight buckets finished. Threw them in the bead blast cabinet, primed and painted them. Being that the Pontiac Aero Coupe's nose is similar to the Monte Carlo SS. I wonder if the headlight bucket assembly are the same ??

I installed the upper grilles prior to installing the nose on the car. The nose piece fit isn't too bad. I was able to get some of the distortion out. Just not near enough to make it acceptable. I'm beginning to run out of parts to put on the car. Here's a few photos, a couple didn't come out so good.

Earlier in this thread I had welded a 65-67 hood scoop onto a stock Grand Prix hood. I had planned on using this hood on the Aero Coupe. That hood currently resides on my "driver" Grand Prix. I just measured the carb height as compared to the top of the fender and came up with 2 3/4 to 3 inches. I then measured the peak of the hood scoop on the driver. It measured about 3 inches as compared to the fender. That makes this set up no good for the aero coupe. I've attached a picture of the hood on the G.P. I'll have to look at some glass hoods to see what catches my eye.
