After 50 or so year's - technology finally caught up to the simplicity and effectiveness of the manual transmission.
NASCAR still uses manual transmissions for a reason. |

But it's not the case at all of them. And I'm not just talking about the two road courses. |

It drives me up the wall when people make statements like this. Sure, some of us(myself included) cannot get the full potential from a manual trans in the 1/4. However, you find somebody who is really good with a 4 speed, and I'll bet on them any day against an auto.
