The holes in the door jams are from dealer installed Ziebart rust protection. My '74 Chevelle was Ziebarted (I'm the original owner...or my mom was, anyway).

I believe the plugs are either black or a reddish/brown on mine.

I have seen them in yellow and black...maybe they had colors to match the car? Also the ones I have seen have had the Ziebart logo and name on them. It seems the plugs started showing up in the mid 70s though...so I am not sure if they had them in the mid 60s though.

As i recall you would take your car back for a respray after a specified time. These were a type of check up of sort. There was a no-rust warranty. Plugs could have been swapped then to newer style.
