One thing I do know is if the SD did get into the 73 GTO they would have been a lot faster then the T/A's at the time because of the weight difference. My 73 GTO has a dry weight of 3420 when I bought it. The 73 GTO's were really light for the size of the car because the GTO didn't have all the insulation & if you did like mine get it with no A/C & no real power options they are / were really light. Thats why in 4/72 cars made it the performance car of the year, of course that was the one tested with the SD in it. too.
