71's used the silver painted "Y" style shaft,1970 VN's used the silver cadmium plated square shaft and the 1970 Norwood cars used the gold cadmium plated almost a teardrop shape shaft. ALL 3 used different shades of blue and the VN lug wrenches have a "W" on them and have a noticeable different bend on the handle. The 71 lug wrenches I have seen are painted grey while 70 VN or N seem to be painted blue.

Bill, you are wrong on the 71 VN jacks. They are the same as the 70 VN jacks. As you stated in a different thread, you are basing your information on the MPC which does not even support YOUR premise. You do not have any real data supporting your premise and you ignore any data that goes against it. The real data I have (granted not a lot) shows the VN jack used in 71 in both Firebirds and A-bodies. You rightfully complain about others spreading misinformation, yet, that is what you are doing now.

Yea.. you got me. I am just on huge d!ck on a mission to spread incorrect info on 1970 and 71 Firebirds.. Great I was wondering who would be the one to catch me ..
