I bought a 65 Lemans with the 326 HO, 4 speed way back in the mid 80's. It was a one owner car out of PA. Being untouched, it had rust in the trunk and lower quarters. SO, I'm guilty. Some patch work in the trunk and quarters, a respray (after new GTO emblems), GTO hood, chrome valve covers and air cleaner from a junk yard, and new carpets and tires and I had a nice running GTO clone. I sold it to a knowing buyer for $4300 and we were both happy!

One thing the different between the GTO and the Lemans HO is the 4 speed. GTO got the Muncie, and the Lemans got the Dearborn, Ford, or whatever. You CAN tell the difference.
