Champ, your SW gauge looks a lot like the 40 year old SW stuff I removed from my '65. Definitely 'period correct' IMO.

Thanks for the feedback. The hinged idea got me thinking instead of hinges, setting up a slide type set up on 2 tracks.This way i can slide them back towards the firewall when not in use mostly out of site. I think that will work even with mechanical gauges.

This is my set-up. They are SW gauges with a mechanical oil pressure one.

Went to autometer on my 64, under dash gauges. But only used 2, oil pressure and temp, left the idiot light for charging system. Look good well to me anyhow.
