Was the w and 9 stampings done at all plants? I think my car was built in Pontiac Michigan. Also I tried the EUN search and nothing came up. Would PHS have a record of that?

Yes, it was supposed to have been done for the appropriate applications, but I think there are examples of it not being done or being done incorrectly.

Only PHS documents for certain plants have the EUN. I know Fremont's do, and Pontiac's do not. You will also find the EUN for your car on the Ident-O-Plate in the Owner Protection Plan booklet that came in the glove box of your car when new. John V. (a member on this board) keeps a database of known EUNs and casting dates to help people determine if a particular EUN and casting date aligns with the build date of their car.
