Goodyear Wingfoots were the predecessor to the NCT which evolved into the Eagle GT...

I believe the Eagle ST evolved from the 78-81 OEM Polysteel Radial....very similar tread design....

I replaced the Polysteels on my 80 T/A in 1982 with a set of Wingfoots....

Very COOL and unique sidewall.................AND,they worked really well (the tires).

According to Herb Adams...they were the "best BANG for the buck" in the day.....

Yes, I think you're right on that! I forgot about the Polysteel tread pattern resembling the Eagle ST's.

Alvin, that's from the 1989 Pontiac Firebird brochure, which has the 20th Anniversary Turbo Trans Am on the cover. I still have a bunch of those brochures in mint condition.
