On a 70 I know the bracket that hold the black rubber bumper was on the car when it got painted and should have overspray on it.

the axle bump stops should be on there too. those where on before red oxide dip, they also had quite a bit of body color overspray. The wheel houses should show more blue then red oxide since the body was painted before the wheel house shutz

The nice thing about these restorations is that you can go heavy or light on these details. I tend to make these details less about globbing it on and more about showing the contrast. Not like the guy assembling this car was perfect, just that he was a little more careful with this car than the other ones he built that day.
