Is it just me or does there seem to be more silver HO formulas than any other color?

I agree, beautiful color combination. I used to have a '71 Z/28 that was silver on blue - loved it.

No, it does seems like silver was one of the more common color on the HO's and silver with blue deluxe will be a great looking combination. Despite all the dust it looks to be a very complete car. Would like to see the PHS and see all the options.

I see an opening bid of $10K. That's real fair. I think you would need another...8K body & paint unless you can do it and that's still 1500 in materials. Everything appears to be there, can it be done for around $40K including the purchase? It would be a pretty car.
Also for those in the know, I see that color on the valve covers every once in a while on a Pontiac, and sometimes the whole engine. Is that just somebody painting them red? I know of no Pontiacs I've ever seen like that. I've saw a few finds by members here on the forum that when they posted up pics, were like that. Once or twice, okay. seven or eight times, makes me wonder.
