Very nice car and story. As soon as I saw the car I thought I had a seen it before for sale, so I went and had a dig...found the first one from September 94 last night.
I thought I had the wrong car, or my memory was wrong. I just had another look this morning and found this ad I saved from December 1988...still has the matching ding in the front RH bumper! Awesome car, imagine this on the streets out here new. Would have been mind blowing compared to most cars on the road at the time. Anyhow, hope you like the old ad and look forward to seeing more photos of it. I wonder where the other one is today? |

This is good old Aussie ingenuity at its best. Sounds like some of the events I went through when I worked with some of the Ford Geelong engineers several years ago. A 1000 mile trip with an unknown car shows the true Outback grit & spirit. Good luck with your new toy! G'day
