Can you post contact info for Joe Vigil, if that is who is being revered to as the person that restored your radio. Also what products did you use to buff out the rocker molding? I have not looked at your thread in a while, the work you have done is amazing! first rate job...congrats!! You need to write a restoration guide full of how to tips for these cars.

Thanks Charles. I just wish work would quit getting in the way...What will really be amazing is if I can get the Black Car off of the lift and into the sunshine this weekend. Zero% chance of rain here on Sunday, so I have big plans. The right quarter won't be too bad, but I was looking at the roof this morning and it looks like a moonscape. Lots of sanding there...
Here's the web link for Joe. The contact tab has a cell number and email address. I'll dig up the polishes I used on the rocker molding and post something this evening when I am back in the garage. http://jvrestorations.com/contact-us/ |

Down to the roof, and that won't be fun. I think I am going to start with 1500 grit instead of 2000. I finished the right rear quarter tonight and it looks nice. MPD is coming over at 8:00 in the morning and I hope to get the roof sanded before he rolls into the Hot Rod Garage. He's going to work on getting the dash and console pieced back together while I work on the buffing. It is hard to believe that it has been exactly 2 months since the interior started to come out of this beast. A lot has gotten done in there. Shoulder belts, headliner, heater controls, radio, kick panels, gauge lens, door handles, ignition and door locks, new a/c vent in glove box, rear console (ah-hem), refurbished e-brake mechanism, refurbished right side duct, new dash bulbs, lube speedo cable, new visor mirror, new dome light, .....Here's some pictures.
