Paul you let my secret out that I'm a retired phone man. This is actually a working 1946 phone in my house. The case is made of steel and the handset weighs a couple of pounds.

Your picture is the same as my phone only my transmitter and receiver are combined into the handset. If you look closely at mine you'll see a little rectangle in the center where the transmitter used to be mounted. My phone has the 2 large brass ringers too and when the phone rings the wall actually vibrates. I don't have it hooked up put my oldest phone is from the 30's.
