Wiil, I don't know which oil pan yopu have, but if it's a Canton keep in mind they rate their pans based on a "total system capacity". Example their popular 15-450 Pontiac Road Race pan is listed at 6 quarts, for that they mean 5 qts in the pan and 1 quart for the oil filter.
