Thanks for the links Alvin!!
Been looking real hard at the pics I have. Found lots of interesting stuff!! Car has a tilt wheel, an AM/FM radio, has a reverb & has a rear window defroster. The CB says its an Echo brand. The A/C unit says Wards Riverside Supreme. There is also a tag in the very top center of the console where it meets the bottom of the dash. Looks like someones name is on there. Cant make out the name but it ends in Jr. I see no signs of water inside the car anywhere. Door panels look perfect. The very top corner of the drivers seatback is split/cracked. I do see what looks like surface rust at the bottom right corner of the back window. All of the fenders, doors & 1/4's look great. There are door dings on the car & a small thin crease on the right rear side right above the GP emblem. Car has the orange with green Az lisc. plate that shows the last registration as July 1985. More to follow as I find it!

Here are a few more pictures. You can see the cracked dash pad. The back seat doesnt look like its been sat in. Package tray looks perfect. No signs of water intrusion. Good shot of the rear window defroster. Looks like the air filter inlet has been cut off to clear the A/C compressor. Usually a steering wheel wrap is put on due to the summer heat here in Az. Lots cooler on the pinkeys while driving. Car looks bone stock except for the CB & A/C. Cant wait for it to arrive!!

Based on LH valve cover… I wonder if it was originally an AIR car?

Yes, that is what I was wondering. Was it built in CA? If so, might just have the valve cover w/plug and not have had pump etc. if sold to different state. Or… take-off when A/C put in?

This GP is a '65, if I'm not mistaken. |
