Those are off-shore knock-offs of the AFX spindles. I've heard they aren't as strong as the originals, though don't know that for a fact. There's 2 versions, a tall and a standard height. Tall I believe would still use an aftermarket upper control arm that is made for tall spindles.

Factory/replacement C5 rotors, calipers, etc work, which I believe is why Toby (Kore) doesn't have a 'complete' kit. You source that common stuff locally so you don't have to pay for shipping.

I would have to check but I think this kit does add like a 1/4" or so track width.

You can source wheel lugs from the same manufacturer that look the same but at SAE and/or metric. So they will look the same.

I have the AFX setup on the lemans, love it. Hands down, the best handling 68-72 A-body I've ever driven. If you want to see it installed, check my albums out under my profile.

I'd like to hear more feedback on these too, since I would like to do the upgrade on the clone. I hate packing and adjusting wheel bearings, for one.

Only issue with the AFX/CPP setup is that you have to check the wheel spacing/clearance for the caliper. And I'm talking about the center part of the wheel clearing the caliper, not the outer rim section clearing (though that has to clear too obviously)

Not sure why you think Tobin @ Kore 3 dosent have complete kits? His stuff works with the stock spindles. You bolt it in and go. I bought my Z51 fronts from Tobin. Good stuff, great reputation within the pro touring community and he's a wealth of knowledge. If you have stock drums right now you can even reuse the hub if you turn it down under 6"

Yeah, after I posted I went and looked, and they do have complete kits, minus spindles. I basically was going off the original poster's comments. (I should have checked)

And agree, Kore stuff is good stuff, and there is a wealth of knowledge there. My original reasoning for going ATS/AFX spindles though was due to bearing design, the old bearings/hubs don't handle side loads well, especially once you add wider wheels and tires and start pushing it some.

AFX spindles also have geometry advantages, and once you drive a car with AFX spindles, you won't ever install anything else.

If you get adventurous, you can also install ABS and traction control to your 60s/70s/80s musclecar using the AFX spindles. FAST now even has the option for their' XFi controllers.

From my understanding the CPP spindles do not have the geometry correction like the AFX spindles. They are basically a spindle that acceps a C6 hub.

Ive considered the AFX spindles. What all do they do for you that a stock style spindle and tall balljoints dont? They're super expensive with the needed steering arms. Just wondering if they are worth the $$?

I believe the only difference in the CPP ones is that they don't have the 7/8" drop. I'm not sure about the steering arms though, and there is some geometry considerations there, but I haven't found any info saying they are different than the ATS/Speedtech ones.

The CPP ones are steel, the ATS/SPeedtech ones are aluminum. That's the only other different than I'm aware of.

The ATS/Speedtech spindles are lighter, stronger, and provide considerable geometry advantages over the OE spindles. Bump steer is almost non-existent, turn in and corner exit is improved, and driver confidence is majorly improved.

I had tall spindles on before I swapped to the ATS spindles, and I have a second car now (442) that has a tall spindle setup on it, so I was able to do apples to apples comparisons. The difference is major.

Not sure how others push their' cars, but I push mine hard. With the OE spindles, I was repacking wheel bearings like every 3-4 months, replacing them like every 2 years at most. I was so sick of it, I couldn't wait until I got the ATS spindles on, for just that reason. I drove like 100k miles, and never had to repack a wheel bearing. Nice.

With the OE spindles, ever get like an occasional shimmy on the highway? Does it seem every time you jack that thing up and wiggle the wheel there's play? Is there just this slight bit of wander on the top of the steering that you can never get rid of? All goes away with the ATS spindles.
