He didn't have a price listed. Just 'make me an offer and bring a trailer'.
Might be able to get it 'right'..but I still don't understand what that statement meant about the $1500.

Understand. Here's "the whole enchilada" below:

69 Firebird
Factory 4 speed

It is an original 1969 4 speed, bucket seat, V8 car. It has 4 wheel disc brakes and a 455ci. engine.

The car is unfinished and needs some things put together still, like the front body mounts on the subframe possibly moved up and inch or two to match the factory 69' body. It has a 70'-81' newer generation subframe, posi rear end (3.55), 4 wheel disk brakes with 11.1" rotors, 14:1 constant ratio steering box, front and rear sway bars, a-arms and suspension from an 1980 Turbo Trans Am.
Everything is mocked up and waiting for you to choose a transmission, before installing new body mounts. I had somebody get into my shop and take some parts and the engines and transmissions that I had for it, so its missing: transmission, trunk lid, back seat. I recently found a running (70'-71') 455ci engine that I picked up for it that has 450ft lbs. of torque from the factory. The glass is all there and in good shape and I have two factory hoods. The car is a factory 4 speed car with bucket seats and it still has the pedal assembly still in the car. I have the core support off right now to work on the subframe, but a few years back I sand blasted the core support down to bare metal and sprayed it with etch primer, sealer, black base, and several coats of clear.
Yes the body is essentially rust free, but has small spot in the truck that started years ago, the rear wheel wells on the body were rolled in to install larger tires, small part of those wheel wells in front of the tires that has small damage from rolling back on a lift (so I'm told), and some knot head cut out a chunk of the drivers side floor board for some reason.
I've had the car for over 15 years in inside storage.

It can be used for a Camaro or Trans Am build as well.

The just bought the 455. So if you take $1500.00 out of what you get the car for you'll get a great deal...

Make me an offer and bring a trailer....

Please be serious about buying the car and the offers and/or trades...

So, he wants $1500??? Maybe if he put a couple commas in there, it might make sense.

"Apparently" (that apparently kid is funny isn't he?) only the ad poster knows what he wants...for sure.
Couple more things about the ad:
  • Click on the "contact information" link and this is what is shown "1967 1968 1969"
  • could the location be any more vague? "1969 Pontiac Firebird (OREGON)"
