He replaced that car with a (I think) 1991 Olds Cutlass Supreme which was even worse. His best Olds was his first - an '83 Omega with an electrical system that shorted out the first day he owned it.
Really a good case study for why so many people started buying Japanese...

To add insult to injury, I went into my '85 Century directly from my ol' yeller '68 GTO (2 weeks after it caught fire and 3 weeks after I got married). I figured I should invest in a NEW car.... the first and last new car purchase I ever made.
After being accustomed to that Pontiac 400 torque, that thing almost got me killed the first time I gunned it on an entrance ramp to merge into fast moving traffic. It wouldn't even get out of it's own way, much less that 18 wheeler I pulled in front of.
