...more likely, what was I thinking...in 1985 I wanted to replace my T/A that was totaled...the 72 that I got had the cheap silver repaint and needed 1/4s so if not for that I am certain I would have thought differently...but I will say that the forum did twist my arm and convince me that Lucerne blue is the way to go (I would have had Cameo white a Lucerne underbelly)...plus I already had a white car, I should embrace the change...actually if you can envision it done..Lucy blue, deluxe black, auto with air and honeys w/o trim rings..it should make one fine TRANS AM...actually the scoop and air cleaner is in the shop and is getting painted very soon...and I cannot wait to add the decals, 455 H.O.!!!!!

came in on 12/24....so a cool present for the T/A...I would recommend them...the original grain was ground off and the exterior coating glued/vac formed? on...its on for good and its totally flat...the finish around the edges is perfect..since the 1971 & 72 seat backs are not reppoped , for me this seemed the only solution and I think it works...a trim shop installed my front seat covers...71 & 72 used material to cover the rear seat bun...1973 & later use a plastic cover and a revised seat back

can anyone explain to me the purpose of the idle stop solenoid and how should it be adjusted...it looks as though mine has moved around by the wear on 2 of the locating holes

new GM replacement air cleaner duct hose came with round elbow, fortunately my car still had the drivers side set up going to the heat shield (passenger side was missing along with the stove, but not anymore courtesy of NORWOOD!)...so it has the flat spot to clear the valve cover...my 1976 T/A with the RADIAL TUNED SUSPENSION had a smaller rear sway bar, was that due to the radial tires?? any opinions??..NOV 71 build gets a repop chrome mirror...and I suppose my 1990 leafspring repop giveaway is the different style clip...lastly I saw this photo of this car...does anyone know what car it is?...I do know the 50s got a bit carried away with fins but this is THE JETSONS car??

I appreciate the input...these are the parts that were on the car...can anyone say for certain that is not the correct solenoid bracket?...is it held by 2 bolts?...I will have to see if that is possible as that would throw off the angle...are these 1972 parts?...the carb is a 1975 SR and the bracket & solenoid fading seem to match...any help on this is welcome

Your seatbacks look great. Is the vinyl they used the same as the seat material?
Thanks,
